The approximately 13 Km Catiadas Coasts start on the south of Costa
Rei
with
the lonely beach of Saint Giusta that is known above all because of
the presence of a big rock called Peppino’s Rock representing a big
turtle dominating the sea.
Going
on along the Coast, over a turistic resort, the hillock of Turno
Mount seems to take care of the Saint Elmo‘s bay, which is
characterized by the alternation of rocks
and small sandy bays. Straightaway on South you can meet the
Cannisoni Beach, beyond whom the desert land maintains a strong and
evocative environmental connotation and then the gold Saint Peter’s
beach (Marina’s Bay). More over on South you can find Sinzias’ Bay
which is a beautiful beach at the feet of a brushy group pf lonely
coasting hillocks. Proceeding always to South and to Villasimius you
reach Pira’s bay; the beach is made of white sand, transparent water
and it is set at the outlet to the sea of a flat valley. On the
promontory the eighteenth-century tower of Pira’s Bay, well
restored, dominates the scenery.
