The
 Mountain
is an integrating part of the land, along the mountain chain of the
Seven Brothers, from Minni Minni to the sea, the mountain is
characterised by the dark green of the junipers and by the numerous
arbutus scattered in the whole Castiada’s region, and everything all
around give the impression that time in this place has stopped
because of its way to be, because of its natural beauty which hasn’t
been still modified by men. These wonderful forests which attract a
lot of tourists will astonish you with their enormous holms escaped
from the men’s hands, their scented twisted secular junipers, their
arbutus florid with red berries, the scents of local essences like
myrtle, rosemary, cisto, with the unmistakable colours of the rose
and white oleanders.
From the top of Minni Minni, achievable in guided tours by mountain
bike or by foot, you can have a look on the whole Castiada’s region.
The Mountain of Castiadas are very important for the tourism, in
fact you can do excursions and also a lot of sports like climbing
on the fabulous granitic rocks which stand majestic on breathtaking
landscapes like “vedette” , from that shape comes from the name
Castiadas (which means “vedette”). The numerous sources and streams
complete the landscape which is rich of resources and it is
enjoyable in all the periods of the year.
